For Hard Disk space assume that 50% of that shown will be available for your files. A * in the name of the laptop indicates a discounted rate as the laptop is fully functional but may be cosmetically sub standard with scratches, scuff marks etc. Also please ask if you require a battery life of more than one hour as some laptops have poor batteries. Software is Windows and Microsoft Office (FREE) XP 2002/2003 or 2007 ... plus utilities and an anti virus program, all updated. Some later laptops have Windows Vista Basic and have VISTA in their name Our latest laptops have Windows 7 and, again, this is in the name...note Windows 7 is only suitable for new programs, printers, scanners, and cameras.
