Some Key Points About Rental Hire

For many items of equipment you will be credit checked and the rental may be refused if you have a poor credit history. If you do not own the property in which you reside, or, do not appear on the Voters Register, or have no credit history with UK banking institutions then, we may ask for a larger Refundable Deposit. You may be asked for identification, and items such as a utility bill or airline ticket in order to identify yourself and your circumstances.We reserve the right to refuse a rental.
All payments must be in advance. Payments for a rental comprise a Refundable Deposit, a rental payment on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and, a payment for any extra items. Extra items include a supplement for taking the equipment overseas, emergency delivery in London, and delivery / collection outside London. We normally only accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Electron, Maestro, Switch or Solo cards and PayPal. Overseas cards are no problem. Other payments methods are at our discretion. You may lose your Refundable Deposit if the equipment is stolen, damaged, you fail to make payments, fail to return the equipment or, default on your rental contract. The Refundable Deposit is returned to your payment card and this normally takes 4 working days.
Delivery / Collection in London and north Surrey is by our staff. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery for everywhere else. It can go wrong. Lets be honest.... if you are renting because you have a life or death situation or, a million dollar contract coming up, give yourself a little extra time or, ask for a personal delivery quote irrespective of where you are in the United Kingdom.
The onus on equipment return is yours. If you chose the paid for personal delivery option then we collect else you must arrange return by a fully insured method at your own expense. Equipment should be back with us no more than two working days after the rental end. The Refundable Deposit will not be released until equipment is received in undamaged condition. For a laptop, damaged equipment is charged at £125 for a broken screen, £150 for a broken keyboard or liquid ingress, £40 for a damaged Optical Player drive, £50 for a missing Hard Disk, £50 for missing Memory, £50 for a missing/damaged Battery and £40 for missing Cables or Disks or the Case. Please enquire for other equipment types.
You will lose your Refundable Deposit if the equipment is lost or stolen. You should contact the Police in order that our insurance company can cover the remaining value of the unit else , you will be liable for this sum. The Rental will end. You may be granted another rental entirely at the discretion of the company.
There is no refund for early return of equipment or termination of the rental period.
We charge £35 for any failed, (nobody there to receive / provide equipment after a 20 minute wait), delivery / collection in London and north Surrey.
We charge £35 plus pro rata rental for equipment returned to us as undelivered by Royal Mail.
We charge £35 for a cancelled debit/credit card transaction i.e. you cancel the rental after the debit/credit transaction has been made but before we attempt delivery..
We do not allow public access to our Workshop but you can collect and deliver to another address in the Epsom area if, arranged in advance.
The ownership of rented equipment rests at all times with Q2db Limited.
Our equipment rarely fails. It is your responsibility to back up your work. It is our aim to replace a faulty unit with another unit despatched to you next working day after receiving the alleged faulty unit at our workshops. Outside London and north Surrey, the onus is on you to return the equipment by a fully insured means and we will reimburse postage costs. In our service area of London and north Surrey, we will collect. On short rentals of up to 7 days, we will offer a full refund if equipment has failed and you have declined the option to have the equipment replaced. If within three days of registering a problem , we have not advised solution, or repaired or replaced equipment, you can cancel the rental and we will refund the Refundable Deposit and any other monies paid for rental in advance.
We offer telephone support 12 hours a day, seven days a week.

You can make an advance booking with a cleared non refundable deposit of £50.00. (This will be deducted from your Refundable Deposit due on delivery.) Five working days before delivery, only telephone bookings can be accepted. There is a cancellation charge for telephone bookings.
